Missing required apparel attributes: age group and gender
Your apparel products are missing the age group or gender attribute that Google requires for clothing, so they are disapproved.
What this error means
For apparel, Google requires the age_group and gender attributes for many clothing offers so it can place them with the right audience. When they are missing on an apparel product that needs them, the item is disapproved.
Why it happens
Clothing needs to be sorted by who it is for. Google expects age_group and gender on apparel offers in the Clothing and Accessories category, with a fixed set of accepted values for each. The exact requirement can depend on the product type and target market. The values are usually missing because the store does not hold them as structured fields, so they never reach the feed.
How to fix it
- Set
age_groupto one of Google's accepted values:newborn,infant,toddler,kids, oradult. - Set
gendertomale, female, orunisex. - Apply the right combination per product, since the same style can exist in several audiences.
- Keep these in the dedicated attributes rather than only describing them in the title.
- Update the feed and wait for re-crawl.
Fixing it in your store
Age group and gender rarely exist as ready fields in a store, so they often need to be added. Set them at the product level or, where your catalogue is organised by audience, use a feed rule to assign the correct value by category. Map those to the age_group and gender attributes and confirm a few products carry Google's accepted values.
How long until it clears
Once age group and gender are present and re-crawled, expect the products to qualify within 1 to 3 days.

Missing value [brand]
The brand attribute is empty for a product that is expected to have one, so Google cannot identify it properly.
Insufficient unique product identifiers
Google does not have enough unique identifiers (GTIN, MPN, brand) to understand your product, so it limits or disapproves it.
