Missing contact or business information
Your site does not give shoppers enough contact, business, or policy information for Google to trust it, which falls under misrepresentation.
What this error means
Google needs to see that you are a real, reachable business before it shows your products. When contact details, business information, or key policies are missing or hard to find, this falls under misrepresentation and can suspend the whole account rather than a single product.
Why it happens
The trigger is a store that does not make it easy to identify or reach the seller. Common gaps are no visible phone number, email, contact form, or physical address, missing or empty return, refund, and shipping policies, and business details that do not match between the site and the Merchant Center account. Google reads any of these as a reason to doubt the store.
How to fix it
- Add clear contact information that shoppers can reach. The exact set Google expects depends on your situation, but a phone number, email or contact form, and a physical address are the usual signals.
- Publish visible return, refund, and shipping policies, linked from the footer or menu.
- Make sure your legal business name, address, phone, and email match across the site and Merchant Center.
- Where relevant, show business hours and a clear "about" or company identity.
- Once the information is complete and consistent, request a review.
Fixing it in your store
These are trust pages that live on your site, not in the feed. Make sure contact, returns, refunds, shipping, and terms pages exist, hold real content, and are linked where shoppers expect them, usually the footer. Then confirm the business name and address on those pages match exactly what is set in Merchant Center, since a mismatch is itself a misrepresentation signal.
How long until it clears
If the account was suspended, a reinstatement review takes from a few days to a few weeks, and clears only once the information is genuinely complete and consistent.
