Invalid value [price]
The price you submitted is not in a format Google can read, so the product is disapproved.
What this error means
Google can read your price field, but the value is not in a valid format, so it cannot use it and disapproves the product. This is different from a missing price. Here a value is present, but Google cannot parse it.
Why it happens
Price has a strict format. Google expects a numeric value with a currency, for example 15.00 with the currency USD, and no symbol like a dollar or euro sign in the number itself. The currency can come from the value or from your feed's currency setting. A common cause is a comma used as the decimal separator instead of a dot, which is normal in some regions but not accepted here. Extra decimals are also wrong, since the format allows at most two decimal places. And the currency has to be consistent within the relevant feed and target market.
How to fix it
- Format the price as a plain number with a dot as the decimal separator and no symbol, for example
29.90. - Provide the currency as a three-letter code such as
EURorUSD, either in the value or through your feed's default currency setting. - Remove any thousands separators and keep at most two decimals.
- Keep the currency consistent within the feed and target market. If you sell in several markets, keep each market's currency consistent within its own data source.
- Update the feed and wait for re-crawl.
Fixing it in your store
Price formatting problems usually come from how the feed exports the number, not from the store's own price. If your store or region uses a comma decimal or shows a currency symbol, make sure your feed tool outputs a clean numeric value with a dot and a separate currency code. Set a single default currency in your feed configuration and confirm a few products export as number + currency.
How long until it clears
Once the price is in a valid format and re-crawled, expect the product to qualify within 1 to 3 days.
