Missing value [unit pricing measure]
Some products must show a price per unit in certain countries, and the unit pricing measure attribute that enables it is missing.
What this error means
Some products in certain countries must display unit pricing, a price per unit such as per litre or per kilogram, under local law. The unit_pricing_measure attribute is what enables that. If it is required for your product and missing, Google disapproves the item.
Why it happens
Unit pricing is mandatory for affected products in the countries that require it by law, and the exact rules differ by country and product type, so check which apply to your markets. It typically applies to goods sold by weight, volume, length, or area, such as food, drinks, and cleaning products. The value is usually missing because the store does not hold the product's measurement in a structured field that maps to the feed.
How to fix it
- Add the
unit_pricing_measureusing the product's total measurement as a positive number and a supported unit, for example750mlor1.5kg. - To control the comparison unit shown to shoppers, also provide the
unit_pricing_base_measure, for example100ml, so Google can display a comparable per-unit price. - Use at most two decimals, since extra digits are rounded.
- Apply it to the affected products in the countries that require it.
- Update the feed and wait for re-crawl.
Fixing it in your store
The measurement usually exists in your product data, in the name or a custom field, but is not mapped to the feed as a structured value. Map the size field to unit_pricing_measure, and for product ranges sold by weight or volume, use a feed rule to derive the measure where possible. Confirm a few products output a clean number and unit.
How long until it clears
Once the measure is present for the affected products and re-crawled, expect them to qualify within 1 to 3 days.
