Website not claimed
Your Merchant Center account has not verified and claimed your store's website, so none of your products can show until the claim is in place.
What this error means
Google requires proof that the website in your Merchant Center account is actually yours. That proof has two steps: verification, which shows you control the site, and claiming, which reserves the URL for your account. Until both are done, every product in the account is blocked, no matter how clean the feed is.
Why it happens
New accounts simply have not completed the step yet. On existing accounts the claim can also break later: the verification method was removed, for example a meta tag deleted during a site redesign or a Google Analytics tag that was swapped out, or another Merchant Center account claimed the same URL and took the claim over. Agencies and feed apps sometimes claim the URL in their own account, which silently unclaims it in yours.
How to fix it
- In Merchant Center, open the business settings and find the online store or website section.
- Verify the website using the method that fits your setup: an HTML tag on the homepage, a Google Analytics or Tag Manager account you already use, or your Google Search Console verification if the same Google account has access.
- After verification, claim the URL in the same screen.
- Keep the verification in place. If the claim came from a meta tag, that tag must stay on the site permanently.
- If another account holds the claim, claiming it in your account takes it over, but be sure that other account is not one your store still depends on, such as a marketplace or feed app account.
Fixing it in your store
Pick a verification method that survives site changes. A Search Console verification tied to your main Google account is more durable than a meta tag in a theme file that gets overwritten at the next redesign. If you work with an agency or a feed app, agree on which account claims the URL, because a claim in one account removes it from the other and takes all products offline there.
How long until it clears
Verification and claiming take effect right away, and products typically start flowing again within a few days as Google reprocesses the account.
